The author not only goes into the general growing of the plant but then goes into an extensive (for then) selection of varieties of gladioli. Browning and foxing to the textblock edges though surprising light browning of the pages with the occasional foxing spot. Included is an extensive array of notations and letters from a previous owner, which has been loosely tucked in. On the free front end paper is a gift inscription and on the front paste-down light foxing and browning with residual tape marks. Chipping it to the dustwrapper corners and to the corners of the backstrip. Rubbing and handling marks to the dustwrapper panels.
