A Prefatory Note, index of illustrations, introductory by author, appendices and index. Illustrated endpapers – showing a ballet seen as seen by the set director. The text is illustrated with both black-and-white photographs and black-and-white illustrations, along with black-and-white sketches and caricatures. Green coloured cloth covered boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. In this book, the author a well-known ballet aficionado, not only gives a small personal biography of himself but of the young and up and coming ballet stars of the 1920s and 1930s. Softening of the head and of the heel of the backstrip with fading also present. Light fading to the edges of the front and back panel and browning to the textblock edges and to the internal pages.
