introduction by C.B. Wheeler. Navy blue coloured cloth covered boards with self embossed publisher's logo to the front panel and gilt titles to the backstrip. Dark blue coloured tint to the top textblock edge. A little rubbing to the book corners and there is browning of the textblock edges and age toning of the internal text. Offset tanning to the endpapers and a previous owner has underlined the text in lead pencil throughout. Previous owners name to the top edge of the free front endpaper. Plain text dustwrapper with black titles to the front panel and backstrip. This dustwrapper is almost in its component parts. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and the top 0.25. " Of the backstrip is missing and the lower 2" is also missing. There is a triangular tear measuring the full width of the front panel, from the top left-hand corner through to the fold over crease, halfway down, with associated creasing. Foxing to the top edge of the free front endpaper and browning of both edges. Clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner.
