The photograph is protected by a a semitransparent page which is slightly brown. The text is illustrated with numerous small black-and-white illustrations and the occasional full-page illustration by C.H. Percival. Gray coloured textured card cover with black and red coloured titles to the front panel. A small book of poetry from the author dealing with the realities of his life as a serving soldier in the strain Army during World War II and other musings. Creasing to the book corners and rubbing to the book edges, book panels and very heavy rubbing to the backstrip. A few handling marks to the book panels and the internal text is somewhat brown.
