Dark olive green coloured covers with black decoration to the front panel. White insert to the front panel and within that insert black titles. A book put out in the early part of the 20th century to enumerate the many sterling qualities of both the Irish people and of the Irish history which the rest of the world would do well to remember. Such Irish born luminaries are the Duke of Wellington, George Bernard Shaw, Lord Kelvin and Lord Kitchener to name but a few. The author does delineate between the Protestant and the Catholic contributions has a very noticeable leaning towards the Protestant. The book has been published with the covers larger than the text and this extra card has become chipped and torn. Browning and foxing to the internal text. This is the first Australian edition.
