XIV 434 pages, last two pages blank, acknowledgements, bibliography and index. The text is illustrated with the two maps which are both foldout . Brown coloured cloth covered boards with yellow titles to the backstrip. Bumping to the backstrip and nothing to the book corners. Light age toning to the text block edges. The major damage of the book has been contract with moisture to the endpapers through to the end of the book -- the residual moisture marks and bumping fades as the book gets further to the back.
