Colour illustrated dustwrapper, being a reproduction of Edvard Munch's "The Scream", painted in 1893 with black-and-white titles to the front panel and white titles to the backstrip. The back dustwrapper panel has the same illustration as for the frontispiece. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. Rubbing to the dustwrapper panels and to the spine edges. There is a three cornered tear to the rear spine edge, 2.5 " down from the top edge. Clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner. Browning to the verso of the dustwrapper and to the top edge of the rear fold over panel.
