360 g.; VIII, 92 pages, last page blank, then at the rear eight pages of black-and-white photography. Illustrated cover, showing a small child at a easel, against a blue background and white titles to the front panel and backstrip. Bumping and rubbing to the backstrip edges and to the book corners and lower book edges. Browning and foxing to the text block edges. Browning, offset tanning and very faint foxing to the endpapers and age toning to the internal text. Illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as for underlying board, with white titles to the front panel and backstrip. Rubbing and chipping to the top dustwrapper corners and to the lower right-hand corner of the front panel. There is a piece missing from the top left-hand corner of the front panel measuring 2" x 1", in a 'v' shaped pattern. There is a tear to the lower left-hand corner of the front panel measuring 2.25 ". Heavy fading to the backstrip. Rubbing and marking to the dustwrapper panels and there are some stains to the lower edge of the front dustwrapper panel. Browning to the verso of the dustwrapper. A book on how to "teach" children to paint. It is not about forcing Children's art into a particular style, but to encourage the natural rhythms and internal artist of the individual child.
