XII, foreword by Bernard Heinze, preface by author, list of illustrations and appendix black-and-white photographic frontispiece of author. The text is illustrated with 24 pages of black-and-white photography. Navy blue coloured boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. Bumping and rubbing to the backstrip corners and rubbing to the book corners. Browning to the text block edges and foxing to the top text block edge. Browning and offset tanning to the endpapers and light age toning to the internal text. A previous owner had covered the dustwrapper in plastic and adhered the plastic to the endpapers with tape, residue of tape visible. On the rear endpapers and a previous owner has added pages, at the programmes for various years, written in in ink. Previous owner's name to the free front end paper. Illustrated dustwrapper, with pale yellow coloured background with brown and yellow titles to the front panel and brown titles to the backstrip. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the backstrip edges. Some rubbing to the dustwrapper panels and light fading to the backstrip. The major damage to the dustwrapper, however, is that a previous owner has cut both the front and rear fold over panels down to an inch in width. A small portion of one of the fold over has been pasted to the rear paste-down. A Centenary History of the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Society. Inserted loosely into the book is a letter to the Secretary of the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Society, 1969, Mr Rashleigh from H.
