The text is illustrated with a map of Nice showing the area around the Societe Generale Bank. 1/4 red cloth backstrip with black titles. 3/4 light gray coloured board. A little bumping to the backstrip edges and rubbing to the book corners. The lower book edge has become slightly faded. Light browning to the text block edges. The front fore edge of the text block is hand cut. Plain text dustwrapper with red and white background and black and white titles to the front panel and backstrip black-and-white photograph of Ken Follett on the rear dustwrapper panel, the panel for the photograph of the other author is blank, as the name is a pseudonym for three French journalists. Rubbing to the dustwrapper edges and a little chipping to the top backstrip edge. A hint of darkening to the backstrip region. Yellowing of the fold over panels and the front fold over panel has a small triangular crease to the top right-hand corner.
