The text is illustrated with 32 colour pages, 16 pages of black-and-white photographs and 97 line drawings within the text. Cream coloured boards with maroon illustrations and writing to the front panel. Maroon insert to the backstrip and within that insert gilt writing. A little bumping to the head and to the heel of the backstrip. Shelf wear to the lower book edges. Light browning and foxing to the text block edges. A small erasure mark can be seen to the top right-hand corner of the front paste down. The internal pages have become slightly age toned. Illustrated dustwrapper, with white and black writing on the front panel and white on the spine. Rubbing and slightest chipping to the dustwrapper corners. There is a small piece missing from the top edge of the backstrip and associated with that missing piece today, 0.25 " tear. There is a 0.75 " tear to the lower front spine gutter edge with associated creasing. There has been rubbing and slightest trading of the dustwrapper panels. A previous owner has repaired with tears to the backstrip with white stickers to the verso, the stickers are still in situ. Clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner.
