The text is illustrated with 32 black and white photographs. Red coloured boards with silver coloured titles to the spine. Illustrated dust wrapper, by " Julian ", with black and yellow coloured titles to the front panel and spine. A journey to the Middle East specifically to the areas where the Australian Infantry Forces ( A.I. F ) fought over two world wars. Not only a sentimental revisiting of these theatres of wars but also to find out impressions that these soldiers have left on the local populace. Minor bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine and a little rubbing to the book corners. Minor shelfwear to lower book edges. Very faint browning to the paper edges. Internal pages are very slightly tanned. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and a little to the top dustwrapper edge. There are a few tears to the top dustwrapper edge, the largest being 0.5 ". The dustwrapper is also rubbed and quite grubby, particularly the back panel. The lower dustwrapper edge has also a very small tear to the bottom edge. The results of insect activity can be seen to be front and back fold over crease, and to the top fold over edge, and to the front panel. This is the first Australian edition.
