Brown coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the spine. Minor shelfwear to the top and bottom book edges and little rubbing to the book corners. Dust marks to the book panels and there is fading of the gilt writing of the spine. Frowning and foxing of the paper edges and to the endpapers as well. Illustrated dustwrapper, by James Boswell, with white and yellow coloured titles on the front panel and black coloured titles to the spine. The dustwrapper is rubbed, grubby and faded. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the top spine edge. The other edges of the dustwrapper have become a little rubbed and there are a few chips with associated creasing. The back panel is quite grubby. The story of a man who led a unsuccessful revolt of Arab tribesman and was banished back to England. This is the first UK edition.
