Set in modern Siberia, an American, a US Air Force Major, who is as proud of the long nurtured legacy of his Indian ancestors as he is of his place in white man's world, is forced down in an experimental aircraft, and captured by the Russians. He escapes, and flees into the vast wilderness of Siberia. To survive he must call upon the ancient skills he learnt as a boy, and at the same time he must continue to be invisible to the relentless pursuit of the Russians. Bumping and rubbing of the book corners and their head and the humour the spine are soft and bumped. The spine of the book has a crease running its length. The panels of the book are rubbed, scuffed and a little marked. There is faint foxing and browning of the paper edges. The remains of a sticker can be seen on the top right hand corner of the free front endpaper. Gift inscription on the half title page. Rubbing and slight chipping of the dustwrapper corners and there are numerous chips and small close tears to the top and bottom of the spine edge. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper edges has also occurred. A crease to the top right hand corner of the front fold over has also occurred. On the verso of the dustwrapper a cut, which is horizontal, measuring 2 " can be seen. A little crinkling and rubbing to the top and bottom dustwrapper edges.
