Bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine and to the lower book edges. Browning to the extremely edges of the book and to the paper edges. On the free front endpaper is a pasted in "review copy slip", dated September 7, 1948. The dustwrapper is illustrated, same illustration as for front cover, with yellow background and red writing on the front panel and spine. The dustwrapper is incredibly grubby and the spine has become quite dark due to the sun. Creasing and very minor chipping to the top and bottom dustwrapper edges. The removal of a sticker can be seen on the top front edge of the front cover. Translation of the Anglo/Norman play "Adam". This play was written somewhere in the early 12th century.
