296 pages, author's note, acknowledgements, list of illustrations. Illustrated endpapers, showing a map of the world and the "Travels of Ronald Biggs". Black coloured boards with red titles to the backstrip. Illustrated dustwrapper, showing a set of handcuffs against a white background and red and black writing on the front panel and spine. The history of Ronald Biggs, his part in The Great Train Robbery and his escape and arriving in Australia and ultimately Argentina. What makes this copy unusual is not the book but all the extra inserts from newspapers dealing with Ronald Biggs and his wife after their divorce. Shelf wear to the lower book edges and rubbing to the other book edges. Browning and staining to the text block edges. The internal pages of the book are brown and the spine has been over opened between pages 6 and 7 and underlying webbing is visible. Dustwrapper is quite shabby. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and each of the corner has a small split. Chipping, with lost to both the top and bottom dustwrapper edges. The spine has become sun faded.
