preface by Arthur Salter, foreword by Nicholas Mansergh, introduction, appendix and index. Light blue cloth with gilt coloured titles to the spine. A study of advisory bodies, in England between 1919-1939, and their function with in the political framework of England at that time. Softening to the backstrip edges and bumping to the book corners. The top spine edge has one small tear. Rubbing to the top and bottom edges and cloth of the book is faded. Browning and foxing to the textblock edges, and there is rubbing. Endpapers are slightly browned and marked. On the free front endpaper previous owner's name is in pen and there are other pencil marks as well. The foxing on the edge of the paper edge has impinged upon the internal pages to a certain degree. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 520 pages. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
