Black coloured boards with gilt illustration of "Spirit of St. Louis", and gilt writing on the spine. Photographic dustwrapper, showing Lindbergh and his plane "Spirit of St. Louis" with a bone coloured background and green and bone coloured writing on the front panel and green on the spine. Shelf wear evident to the top and bottom edges and very slight to the heel of the spine. Dust marked to the top paper edge and bumping to the top right-hand corner book edge. The text is printed on buff coloured paper and inserted loosely is a erratum card for one of the photographs for Page 26. Slight softening to the backstrip edges. Dustwrapper is rubbed and faded and there is chip into the dustwrapper corners. A small tear to the top dustwrapper edge with associated creasing and there are a few chips to the rear panel.
