Black coloured boards with silver writing on the spine. The corners of the book are slightly scuffed and there shelf wear evident to the bottom edges. The head and and the heel of the spine are soft and bumped. Faint dust marks to the top paper edge. Some and the marks to the internal pages. Photographic dust wrapper, showing authors' identity card, on a black background with red and white writing in front panel and spine. The dustwrapper is rubbed and faded, particularly the spine. The top and bottom dust wrapper edges are chipped and there is a tear measuring 2" from the top edge into the body of the front panel. Grubby marks to the back panel and there is general creasing to the dust wrapper. The memoirs of the author who joined the Dutch underground and survived the hunting down of Jewish people.
