Black and white photographic frontispiece of author. Light red boards with gilt writing on spine. Plain text dustwrapper with tan coloured decoration with white background and black and tan writing on front panel and black coloured titles to the backstrip. The author wrote this book at 92, and he reflects upon a life which included 33 years in the Champagne trade, 33 years of active life as president of the Wine and Food Society and 66 years of authorship. Minor rubbing to the book edges. Paper edges slightly browned. Corners of the dustwrapper slightly creased as are the head and heel of the spine.
