Black and white photographic frontispiece of subject, and black and white photographs, along with black and white illustrations,within the text. Dark blue coloured coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Photographic dustwrapper, with white and yellow coloured background and black and orange coloured titles on front panel and backstrip. Biography of Charles Henny Pearson, scholar, politician and radical. The corners are rubbed and top right-hand corner of the front panel is bumped. The head and the heel of the spine is soft and bumped. There are some grubby marks on free front end paper. The dustwrapper is slightly rubbed and faded, particularly notable on spine and back panel, the corners are a little rubbed. There is a crease along the of right-hand corner commensurate with bumping underneath. There are small creases along top dustwrapper edge. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. XV, 279, [1] pages.
