introduction. Blue leather with gilt coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. This book is part of a limited edition of 1000 copies, as stated, but is not numbered. Max Harris' poems have been selected by Robert Clark who has also done an introduction to the work. The book is broken into two sections, poems written before 1955 and those written after 1955. As Robert Clark said in his introduction "... to some people his poetry is difficult. He is not a deliberate obscurant (no true poet ever is), but he has read widely, and he assumes that the reader has a literary equipment, and stride, equal to his own."
