Quarto, later edition (first was a 1939 printing on vellum), unpaginated, blue velvet boards with gilt lettering and ornaments to spine, gilt urns on front and back covers, former owner's name gilt-stamped on back, color illustration by Szyk, edited by Cecil Roth, clamshell box. A desirable edition but not as expensive as the other Szyk printings. Condition of this book: Very good, velvet worn at corners, no longer uniformly colored. Box is stained and some cloth is peeling at edges, sound. Size: Quarto. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting.
