Quarto, American edition of an English title, unpaginated, illustrated red cloth boards with beveled edges, all edges tinted red, 24 color plates. The Aunt Louisa books were among the earliest to use color lithography. This title includes an ABC called Doings of the Alphabet, nursery rhyme collection called Childhood's Delight, Dame Crump and Her Pig, and Hush-a-bye Baby. Plates are after designs by Howard and Herrick. Condition of this book: Moderate wear at extremities, a couple color plates have scratches, front hinge cracked, some leaves loose. Size: Quarto. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
