Small label from the Western Mail Binder of Cardiff on rear pastedowns, with shelf numbers on spines and stamps on front pastedowns identifying these books as from the Cartier design studio on Fifth Avenue. Traces the development of gold and silver craft in the British Isles, beginning with the earliest available pieces. Set weighs about 10k or 23 pounds. Condition of this set: Covers rubbed and worn at extremities, spines sunned, but overall very good and sound. Size: Large Folio (bigger than A3). 2-volume set (complete). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
