Quarto, priority unknown to me, unpaginated with 90 engraved plates, marbled boards half-bound in brown morocco with red morocco label on spine along with gilt floral decoration, number written in white on spine, top edge gilt, 2 volumes in 1 book. A tour of the wonders, manmade and natural, around the world, with exaggerated illustrations facing text leaves describing the phenomenon in the illustration. Nearly 100 are called for by the title page but there are only 90, with only 1 apparently missing. No internal library markings. Condition of this book: Covers worn and stained by very sturdy. Frontis engraving has been repaired. Each engraving has offset to the facing text page. Overall good and sound. Size: Quarto. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
