Large folio, No. 280 of an edition of 390 printed on Zanders handmade paper, pp, 26, printed boards quarter-bound in vellum, signed on the limitation page by Vojtech Preissig, who designed the book, made linoleum cuts and cut the type for it. No. 1 of the New Fine Book Series, this is a magnificent presentation of Whitman's 1856 poem, which was published in Leaves of Grass. Condition of this book: Boards toned, rubbed at lower fore corners. Vellum spine darkened. Overall near fine. Special Limited Edition, first issue in this format. Size: Large Folio (bigger than A3). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
