Gordon Ray, Illustrator and the Book in England, 330: "Subsequent illustrators and stage designers dealing with the play have found it difficult to put Rackham's images out of their minds." Condition of this book: Covers darkened with rubbing at extremities; leaves age-toned, some over-opened. Overall very good. First edition of the work in this format and binding, and/or set or series. Size: Quarto. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
