Covers the second futile Grinnell search for the mysteriously vanished John Franklin. Sabin 37001: "A great part of these volumes is occupied with descriptions of the Esquimaux." Condition of these books: Tight, boards discolored in spots, wear at spine ends, back joint of V2 is starting to split, foxing to prelims and some of the plates, but overall this is a good, sound set. Size: Octavo (standard book size). 2-volume set (complete). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact.
