Hare was an accomplished travel writer on Italy, with "Walks in Rome" and "Cities of Italy" also to his credit. He makes little attempt to provide Baedeker-type information here such as hotel rates, confining himself to a few bits of practical advice for day-trippers. The bulk of the work consists of detailed descriptions of the attractions as Hare knew them. Condition of these books: Near fine with lightly worn covers and a slight spine roll to V.2.
