Part of the American Guide Series created by the Works Progress Administration during the Depression to give work to unemployed writers and photographers. Dust jackets for this series can be hard to find, especially with the price intact on the front flap. Condition of this book: Very good with light edge wear and a couple small stains on covers, in a very good jacket with chips at extremities, a couple short tears, internally reinforced by binder's tape at the bottom of the spine. Preserved in Brodart. Map fine. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting.
