Octavo, first edition, each part paginated separately, each with a frontis gravure portrait of the author covered, marbled boards three-quarter bound in green morocco with gilt lettering and devices in 6 compartments on spine, top edge gilt. Signed by Hubbard on the limitation page of the William Morris part. Front pastedown has the label of the great Chicago collector Abel Berland. These Little Journeys were issued in 6 parts in 1900 and 6 in 1901. The authors were not all English, as Robert Burns is included. The binding here is labeled 1900 but no doubt it was done much later. In any event it is an unusually attractive volume. Condition of this book: Near fine with light wear at extremities. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact.
