EMORY, LT. W.H. Notes of a Military Reconnoisance [sic] From Fort Leavenworth, in Missouri, to San Diego, in California, New York: Wendell and Van Benthuysen, 1848. Octavo, Senate edition, pp. 416, 43 plates, brown cloth boards with paper label to spine. Howes E145 calls for a folding map in a rear pocket, but the present copy has neither map nor pocket. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 1 kilo. Category: Antiquarian & Rare; United States; 19th century; Exploration. Pictures of this item not already displayed here available upon request.
