BALDWIN, EMMA COCKRELL. Kodak Sketches of Two Little Girls, A Story Book for Children, Boston: Idea Co., 1900. Octavo, priority unknown to me, pp. 167, gray cloth boards with silver-stamped lettering on spine, red, black and silver stamped illustration on upper panel, halftone photos. An early use of photos in a children's book, and one of Kodak's endless attempts to spread photography into a mass market. Very scarce -- OCLC locates four in institutional libraries. Condition of this book: Boards spotted and stained, upper panel illustration flaking. Leaves clean, spine no longer tight, with two hinge cracks (front hinge inexpertly repaired with clear tape), images fine. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is loose but fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 1 kilo. Category: Photography; United States; 1900-1920; Children. Pictures of this item not already displayed here available upon request. Inventory No: 52178.
