Gomis (1902-1991) was an accountant who got into photography at age 12 and became respected in artistic circles. He was probably the first Spanish artist to spot the architecture of Gaudi, which he began photographing when Gaudi was still unknown. Gomis's pictures are also associated with the imagery of the painter Joan Miro. This book includes a section on Gomis's street photography of Houston, Texas, in the 1920s.
