The author claimed to be "Ex-Barber to His Majesty" but was actually a physician who became a bookseller, according to Sabin 28585. See also Howes G376. This book is a satire on Isaac Fidler's "Travels in America," reporting on such absurd spectacles as swine-pulled stagecoaches on Broadway in New York. Condition of this book: Ex-library, boards worn, losses at spine ends, upper panel missing a small chunk of cloth. Leaves clean and tight, not much foxing. Size: 12mo. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
