Good Condition. This is an original Georgian copperplate engraving of 'St James's Palace from Pall-Mall.', with a prospect below titled 'The Same from the Park'. It is sized 160 x 100 mm. Below this is an engraving also sized 160 x 100 mm. of Somerset House & Stairs, As they appeared before they were pulled down in 1776'. Originally from A New and universal History, Description and Survey of the Cities of London and Westminster, The Borough of Southwark and their adjacent parts. By Walter Harrison, Esq. Edges are slightly worn though this would not be visible under a mount. Significant offsetting of illustration from opposite page causing light brown marks across this page, which will probably be removed with bleaching. Overall plate mark sized 190 x 265 mm. on paper sized 235 x 365 mm. Can be cleaned & coloured, mounted and framed to your request. Will be promptly posted rolled up in a stout tube.
