15cm x 10cm. 380 pages,  black and white illustrations. Recently rebound in full black leather, gilt finishing, date panel, blind double rule. Being a history of the Assassins, the Templars, and the Secret Tribunals of Westphalia. Originally published anonymously and against Keightley's wishes in 1837 as a part of the Library of Entertaining Knowledge series this 1848 edition has some edits and enlargements. Thomas Keightley (1789-1872) was an Irish writer noted for his work on mythology and folklore. This copy has been rebound in fine black leather. Exterior is in Fine Condition.
