Kelly enters the theological debate between futurism and historicism, as pertaining to prophecy in the Old Testament. The question of which prophecies have been fulfilled and which yet allude to the future is investigated, with caution ascribed both to under and over interpreting. The work focuses particularly on the Book of Daniel, the Apocalypse, and the Year-Day theory, the latter of which the author refutes in some detail.
