Abhayagiri Monastic Foundation, 2009, Softcover, Book Condition: Very Good
Clean unmarked pages, slight wear/curling to cover corners. This important work will appeal to scholars and to students. It's an outstanding, and in some ways a singular, resource. The authors examine how classical Buddhist texts describe Nibbana (Nirvana). Even though it's the "goal" of the Buddhist life, Nibbana is not something which you can define, but people still need an accurate (if incomplete) picture to help them. The authors describe and discuss some of the analogies and descriptions for Nibbana in the texts, in descriptions of the Buddha's life, and in subsequent writings. This is an exceptional goal, and the authors manage it nicely IMHO. (Reader review) 390 pages. Quantity Available: 1. Category: Religion & Theology; Inventory No: dscf10009.
