Size: 12mo. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is sound. Red decorated cloth over boards, gilt lettering on spine, iv, 104 pages, 39 pages (catalogue of other books by the same publisher), consists of four "little tales": The Srimats; The Shipwrecked Sailors; Isle Pleasant; The Islanders' Experience of Foreign Trade. From the Preface: "It is hoped that these little tales may be of some use to those who are trying to teach Political Economy." Millicent Garrett Fawcett was a British suffragist, an intellectual, political leader, Union leader, mother, wife and writer. Covers are soiled/ worn/stained, corners and spine ends bumped; tiny hole/dent in front board; starting with the first page of the Macmillan & Co. catalogue, the top corner of each page is damaged, fore-edges chipped in two spots & that carries through to the back cover; from page 19 of the catalogue through to the back free end paper, the pages are torn at the bottom edges near gutter.
