34 pages. Published from 1914 to 1933, The Welsh Outlook was intended to promote a view of Cultural Nationalism and social progress within Wales, as reflected in the topics in each monthly part. The magazine is considered to have been important in the development of Welsh Nationalism, and Wales as a Nation separate from the rest of Britain, most especially so from England through the Welsh language. The print runs were tiny, even by the standards of the day, perhaps only 2000 an issue in the early days, rather less later, and are consequently tricky to find. Original printed wrappers, loose and torn. Staples are rusted. Contains; Sir John Morris-Jones: Appreciations by Prof. J.E. Lloyd; The Robert Owen Memorial Museum, Newtown by Cyril Fox; Welsh Rural Crafts by Iorwerth C. Peate; Studies of Rural Wales by R. Alun Roberts; Shelley's Haunts in Wales by Z. Mather; The Preservation of The Beauty of Wales: A Survey and an Appeal by T. Alwyn Lloyd; Wales and The World by Rev. Gwilym Davies; The Welsh League of Nations Union; Meat Consumption on a Welsh Farm, 1928; The People and Politics - A Rejoinder by H. Dunkinson and E. G. Williams; The Fighting Instinct by Frederic Evans. Size: Quarto. 34 pages. Quantity Available: 1. Category: Welsh Outlook; Inventory No: 224222.
