Donald G. Hoskins, 1997, Softcover, Book Condition: Good, Revised, Inscribed by Author
The title of this book was selected because of its obvious links with the building works of the Loveridges, & the Hudsons, although the former were the ones mainly connected with masonry. The Hudsons were fond of finding an excuse for having a celebration to mark important events such as the start of the works that were to grow into the great workshops known as Clyde Engineering of today, and the completion of the Hudson's Temporary Water Scheme. On the other hand, the Ritchies were not so inclined, & even less so the Hoskins, for the start of their main works at Lithgow, & at Port Kembla, were not the occasions for fanfares or great publicity. However, Charles Hoskins & his men certainly contributed metaphorically to the laying of the foundations for the iron & steel industry." Spiral Bound. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. 98 pages.
