This work. was written by a man named as Tuesday Lobsang Rampa, who never denied that he had been born as Cyril Hoskin, but claimed that his body was now occupied by the spirit of Lobsang Rampa. The book is written as a course of instruction in psychic development & metaphysics for "those who are sincerely interested in knowing the things that have to be known." Whatever his origins & experiences, it cannot be denied that Lobsang Rampa's books did much to arouse interest in Tibetan Buddhism when they were first published in the 1950's.
