An address given to the Rotarians, Lincoln branch, November 16th 1925 by Robt. S. Godfrey, (the then) Clerk of the Works, on the methods of repairing Lincoln Cathedral & published the next year as a 'one shilling' booklet to help raise money for the repairs. The paper gives a history of the Cathedral building together with accounts of such disasters as a fire in 1124 & an earthquake in 1185, both of which destroyed the Cathedral, & the falling down of the Great Tower in 1244-5, &, in 1547, The Centre Tower Spire blown down in a gale.
