XIV, 425 pages, seven pages of illustrations, lists of words and phrases, general index, original dust jacket. Inscribed on front end page by the author and dated one/VI/45 "with thanks for unforgettable kindnesses". This is the original edition, which on pages 295/296, allegedly defamed the Bulletin Newspaper, and was subsequently issued with those two pages corrected . All the pages, and their edges are browned/discoloured. The colour of the cloth is uneven, showing some signs of sunning to the head and tail of the backstrip, the dust jacket is chipped with some loss especially at the head and tail of the backstrip.
