Navy blue coloured cloth covered boards with silver titles to the backstrip. Rubbing and some bumping to the book corners and backstrip. Browning and quite heavy foxing to the textblock edges and running to the internal text. Browning, foxing and offset tanning to the endpapers. Colour illustrated dustwrapper with red and pale blue coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Black and white photograph of author to the rear dustwrapper panel. The dustwrapper really is showing its age. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the back strip edge. There are numerous tears, with associated creasing to the dustwrapper edges, the largest being a tear running from the top left-hand corner of the front panel into the body of the front panel measuring 3.5 ". The edges themselves are creased and rubbed. Rubbing and heavy handling marks to the dustwrapper panels. The verso of the dustwrapper shows browning and foxing and the tape a previous owner has used to support tears to the dustwrapper.
