The internal text, boards and dustwrapper have all been drawn by Graham Oakley. Black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. A little bumping to the backstrip and book corners. Some rubbing of the book panels. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as for underlying board, with black titles to the front panel and backstrip. This dustwrapper is in appalling shape. Chipping, with loss, to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. There is a piece missing from the lower right-hand corner of the front panel with a small, 0.5 " tear which radiates from the right-hand side of the piece missing. There are pieces missing from the dustwrapper edges along with a feud closed tears. Heavy rubbing to the dustwrapper edges and dustwrapper panels. The rear spine gutter edge has a 5 inch split, to the lower part of the backstrip. Water damage to the front dustwrapper panel is also present. The story of two sisters who on their wedding day are given the same amount to dowry by their father. One sister and her husband find a small comfortable house within their means, the other, a large mansion that takes all of the dowry. Then she has to find means to furnish and maintain this mansion.
