Purple coloured cloth covered boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. Orange coloured tint to the top textblock edge. Bumping to the book corners and backstrip edges. Some flecking of the lower book edges, and a little to the top book edges. Fading to the top book edges and there is some foxing to the text block edges. Original bookseller's sticker to the lower edge of the free front end paper and previous owners name to the top right-hand corner of the half title page and title page. A previous owner has made copious notes, in faint lead pencil, to the first of the free front end paper and half title page. A few notations, in the same faint pencil, throughout the text. Plain text dustwrapper with purple coloured background and black titles to the front panel and backstrip. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. A corner of the backstrip has a small split. Rubbing either side of the backstrip and fading is also present. Clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner.
