V, 6-140 pages, acknowledgements, introduction by authors, bibliography and index. Text is illustrated with black and white line drawings, and coloured illustrations by Rex Davies. There is no publishing date readily available but appears to have been published approximately in the early 1970s. Inserted loosely into the book is a small pamphlet on keeping budgerigars. Emerald green coloured boards with gilt titles on the spine. The corners of book are slightly rubbed and the head and the heel of spine are bumped. Bumping to the backstrip and heavy bumping to the book corners. Dust marks to the top text block edge and browning and marking to the other text block edges. Handling marks and foxing to the end papers and there is a gift in this description to the free front end paper. Illustrated dustwrapper, again by Rex Davies, showing white-plumed honeyeater, with black titles to the front panel and backstrip. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the backstrip edges. Heavy rubbing and creasing to the dustwrapper edges. The dustwrapper panels are incredibly grubby and somewhat stained. There is a 1 inch tear to the lower left-hand corner of the front dustwrapper panel, with associated creasing.
